The Lawrence School, Lovedale was certified a Platinum IGBC Green Campus by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), an aegis of the prestigious Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Formed in the year 2001, the vision of the council is, "to enable a sustainable built environment for all and facilitate India to be one of the global leaders in the sustainable built environment by 2025".

 

The IGBC Green Campus rating system addresses green features under the following categories:

       - Water Conservation

       - Energy Efficiency

       - Material and Resource Management

       - Health & Well-being

       - Green Education

       - Innovation in Design

 

The Lawrence School, Lovedale scored between 67 – 90 on the IGBC Green Campus Rating Scale on the categories listed above, placing the School at the covetous Platinum level, the highest level of certification awarded by the IGBC.

 

The certification is valid till 2025.

 

The certification comprises a formal letter of certification and a mountable plaque.
